The Cosmos team had the chance to chat briefly with SIRUP via email about his upcoming show. He shared how excited and ready he is to meet his Thai fans, joined by two talented Thai artists, Daniel Ryn and Gabe Watkins, who will help make the night truly unforgettable at Blueprint Livehouse on this November 22nd
How do you feel about your first solo performance in Bangkok?
Technically, it’s my first headlining show, and I never thought it would happen so soon, so I’m thrilled and excited! Above all, I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped make this happen.
How did performing at events like ‘VERY FESTIVAL 2022’ and ‘BIG MOUNTAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL 2023’ influence your decision to return to Thailand?
In addition to those, performing at Japan Expo and HYBS’s live show made me so thankful for these opportunities coming one after another. This inspired me to make the most of this chance and turn it into something meaningful. And, of course, meeting the Thai audience was the biggest reason.
How has your music evolved with the new releases this year, and how will this evolution be expressed in your Bangkok show?
Each of my new songs represents my growth, so I feel I’ll be showing the latest version of myself in my performance. The music video for the song “GAME OVER,” which was released just before the show, includes some dancing, so it would be amazing if everyone could dance along! [laughs]
Gabe Watkins and Daniel Ryn will be supporting you at this event. What are your thoughts on their music?
I feel a sense of shared roots with Gabe’s smooth and sweet songs, and Daniel has similar elements along with his danceable tracks and dreamy vibe. They both have a unique appeal that I don’t have, so I’m really looking forward to it!
Could you tell us about the VIP experience planned for this event? What can participants look forward to?
Specifically, VIPs will have early entry, a chance to talk with me after the show, and receive signed posters. I’m most excited about the chance to talk directly with everyone! I’d love to hear how they feel about my music!
What’s next for you after this performance?
I’d like to perform at another big festival in Thailand and, next time, have my band join me for a solo show. It would be amazing if future releases and tours naturally included Thailand as a standard stop on the tour!
